Today we're talking about special visual effects or VFX.

You have seen a lot of films having dramatic footage which creates a special effect on the screen. These effects are done by VFX. Standing visual effects are today created almost entirely digitally with the use of computers for that a powerful software is required. What is VFX?

It means Visual Effects. It is a process by which one's imagination is made into a whole of a live shot. Visual effects are mostly used in movies, tv shows and games. For example - changing a simple sky background in a shot of movie into a huge dangerous cave full of spiders!!




It is done by using graphic design, animation, new technology. It is done under inspection of a supervisor. There are many studios which provide VFX process.

The basic need of VFX is Technology and Imagination. If one's Imagination in the process of VFX is strong then it takes no time to appeal to the audience.

It has 5 categories

• Animation
• Simulation FX
• Modelling Matte
• Painting
• Composting

There are many softwares which helps in Visual effects process -

• Autodesk Maya
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• Adobe Photoshop

So basically, any shot which is difficult to film, then visual effects are used. And in country like India, where Bollywood rocks, there is a great demand in VFX field and a green career in this field
